Christmas week: Normal pickup for us is not affected this year with Christmas being on Wednesday.
Yard waste goes with regular trash from December 26th through the end of February. Because recycling is on Mondays, the trash company asks that yard waste be put out on Thursdays. Back to Wednesday pickups March 4th when yard waste season begins again.
Week of New Year's Day: Normal pickup is not affected for us this year with New Year's Day being on Wednesday.
Christmas Trees: Christmas trees will be collected the first two non-holiday Wednesdays in January – the 8th and 15th. All tinsel and decorations should be removed and they should not be put in plastic bags. They will be taken to be composted.
Inclement Weather: Safety is the concern of the trash company. When roads are
considered unsafe due to ice or snow, collection will be suspended and will resume again as normal (missing that day). It is your responsibility to take your trash back in on those days. If you have not signed up for the trash notice e-mails, now is a good time to do that.
